About 100 university students who are joined in Jakarta Campus Network is holding solidarity action in front of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Central Jakarta, Thursday (12/8). This solidarity action is as form of concern to the victim who burned himself in front of the Merdeka State Palace on Wednesday (12/7).
Based on beritajakarta.com observations, this action was started at 10 AM with those students asking donation to motorists who passed in front of the hospital.
Deni (24), the solidarity action coordinator, said that he is sympathetic to the burnt victim. “We will continue do this action to give spirit for his recovery,” he expressed.
Meanwhile, the victim’s identity is still unknown until now. He is currently has been moved from emergency room to isolation room. “The victim condition is still critical and unconscious becaused his burn wounds reached 97-98 percent,” explained RSCM Public Relations staff, Wiwin.
According to her, there is no one come to RSCM until now to look for missing family member. “Probably after the identification is done, the victim’s identity can be notified so that his family can identify him easily,” she added.
